Stuck At Prom Has Never Looked This Good

Like so many things associated with grad 2020, the “Duck Brand” Stuck at Prom scholarship was forced to go viral this year.

Duck Brand is the famous company behind duct tape; duct tape that comes in a wide range of colours.  Over the last two decades, more than $1 million dollars has been awarded to teens who have crafted their prom dresses and tuxedos out of duct tape.

Duck Brand wanted to keep the spirit of the program alive, especially during these unprecedented times.  So, teens this year didn’t have to attend a prom or formal in their homemade tux or dress…they just had to submit pictures online.  You won’t believe how incredible they are!

Deadline for entries was last week.  Judges will narrow down the huge list for community voting to start June 29th.  Winners will be picked July 10th.  This year, two grand prize winners will be crowned; each receiving a $10,000 scholarship.  Eight runners-up will receive $500 each.

Duck Brand has had a huge response because teens had more time at home.  We’ve posted a picture of one of the finalists.  Her name is Peyton Manker from Illinois.  She made a grad gown with hair accessories, a purse and even a corsage….all with a COVID-19 theme.   It is absolutely spectacular…and remember, it’s all made out of duct tape.
