Cavalcade gets greenlight for L.V.Rogers grads
Graduation may not be how students expected this year but L.V.Rogers Secondary School in Nelson will at least be able to carry-out one tradition:
Trish Pujos-Michel with the grade committee says grad season is always a joyous occasion, and can cost $50,000 to pull off, so it’s safe to say Nelsonites take it seriously.
She says Cavalcade has the green light for this year so long as appropriate COVID-19 measures are put in place.
The event is an opportunity for the community to come out and celebrate the grads as they parade through downtown.
She adds the route is changing this year and strict guidelines are in place, but they're not yet sure if the route will be made public.
