Enrolment up slightly this year around the Kootenay Lake School District

Fairly stable enrolment in the Kootenay Lake School District.

Superintendent Christine Perkins says overall enrolment is up slightly around 1.5 percent, with more high school students this year, but fewer in elementary school.

In the next 10 years or so, she says they're expecting a dip when it comes to enrolment.

They're going to be having a couple of public meetings coming up in November, to talk about things like enrolment, conditions of schools, and transportation.

In Creston the meeting will be November 6th at 5:30 at PCSS, November 7th at the same time at Trafalgar in Nelson.
