In BC almost double the number of pedestrians are injured in crashes from October to January.

Spokesperson Christine Thompson says with the weather changing rain and snow it makes it dangerous on the roads.
Pedestrians can help stay safe by making eye contact, watching for drivers turning left or right at intersections and using designated crosswalks..it's also important they clothing that's visible or reflective gear.
Drivers should take extra time to look for pedestrians, avoid distractions and be ready to yield.
In the Southern Interior every year, on average, 280 crashes involve a pedestrian.
