Rossland council appoints election officials prior to Fall by-election
The City of Rossland had their April by-election put on hold earlier this year, but now it's been rescheduled for this Fall.
This week Rossland city council appointed both a Chief and Deputy Chief Election Officer.
Mayor Kathy Moore says they’re back in business, adding the province says by-elections can go forward so long as physical distance protocols and other provincially mandated health and safety measures are followed.
Moore says as the previous by-election was completely canceled, anyone interested in running this time around needs to completely restart the process.
Advanced Voting is November 18th and 25th with General Voting on November 28th.
