Felicity Huffman Out Sooner Than Expected, Hatching Comeback Plan

Felicity Huffman will be spending just 13 days behind bars, instead of the 14 she was sentenced to, TMZ reports. The Desperate Housewives star entered FCI Dublin on Tuesday, October 15th to start her sentence after pleading guilty for bribing Rick Singer into juicing her daughter’s SAT scores.

Huffman was among the dozens of parents snagged in the college admissions scandal. The Federal Bureau of Prisons officials told TMZ that she’ll be out October 27th. Prosecutors originally wanted to get Huffman behind bars for a year, but when they realized the probation department wouldn’t play ball, they reduced it to a month, and got half.

While Huffman is behind bars at the reportedly cushy Dublin, she will be able to play board games and go sun tanning, per TMZ.

COMEBACK?

Meanwhile, when Huffman does return to public life, she’s hoping that the public will give her a second chance, insiders tell Us Weekly

“She is looking forward to seeing her family in two weeks and hopes upon release that the public will give her a second chance,” the source explains.

“She is resigned to paying her dues to society and spending her time at Dublin in a humble and quiet manner,” the source continues. “She has not been assigned her post release 250 community service hours yet, but she is hoping she will be able to make a positive impact on under privileged young women and women who have been recently incarcerated and released and who are attempting to re-enter society.”

She is also working on healing the rift with her husband William H. Macy, and their two kids, Sophia and Georgia. Huffman reportedly dropped her off at prison.
