Penticton RCMP investigating shot fired

On July 10th, 2020, at 8:30 p.m., officers attended a rural property in the 2000 block of Carmi Road, Penticton.

A resident of the property was walking outside when she felt a sharp stinging feeling on her back. At the same time, she overheard something drop to the ground nearby.

After close inspection, her husband found the item, which appeared to be a spent 22 calibre bullet casing. The woman victim developed a red mark on her back, but was otherwise uninjured.

Officers attended and searched in and around the property, with no suspect being identified at the time. The investigation is on-going.
