Police have confirmed the identities of two male bodies found at a plane crash site from 1987.

The crash site and remains were found in Wells Grey Provincial Park last September.

At the time Police said that the bodies were that of two Eagle Bay men who had left on a flight from the Shuswap.

Police have now confirmed those remains as that of Ernie Whitehead and Len Dykhuizen.

RCMP say that this ends three decades of questions for the families.
