Mental Health Advocate Says Too Many Living in Silence

CKTB - News - Mental Health

In a time when emotions are high and hugs aren’t allowed, Mental Health Advocate Justin Brien from Salmon Arm is reminding people it’s important to reach out if you need help.

“Mental health doesn’t discriminate. To anybody that is out there struggling I say to them speak out, speak up, and speak often. And if nobody's listening, go out and find someone who will listen.”

Brien says speaking publicly about his own experiences helps him as much as it helps the people listening.

May 4th to 10th is Canada's 69th Mental Health Week.
