A blast of winter weather over the weekend for many areas of B.C and Alberta.

Environment Canada's Matt MacDonald spoke Monday on conditions weekend between Revelstoke and the border "2-3cm Saturday through Sunday, and maybe 1cm last night, but the real big snow was down south.."

As for that southern system, MacDonald says "Kootenay Pass and Paulson Summit picked up between 35 and 48cm over the weekend. On the Alberta side of the mountains, Waterton National Park looks like it got 80cm of snow."

He also has a look at this week for the Interior "The next disturbance moves through Wednesday night into Thursday, and the temperatures in the passes are going to hover right around that freezing mark, so I think there's a chance for some wet snow Wednesday into Thursday."
