There was a double fatality west of Vanderhoof on Highway 16
A single-vehicle rollover on Highway 16 west of Vanderhoof has claimed the lives of two people.
The crash happened just before 11:30 Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene to find a vehicle overturned in a creek with two people inside.
The driver was rescued from the vehicle and taken to hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.
The only passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash hasn't been determined yet, but RCMP said roads were reported to be snow-covered and slippery at the time of the collision.
