Après avoir annulé la cérémonie qui devait avoir lieu à Saskatoon le 15 mars dernier en raison de la crise de la COVID-19, les organisateurs des JUNO Awards ont annoncé les grands gagnants de l’année de façon virtuelle, lundi soir.Le Juno de l'Album francophone de l'année a été décerné à Les Louanges pour son disque La nuit est une panthère. Celui-ci était en nomination aux côté de Koriass (La nuit des longs couteaux), Loud (Tout ça pour ça), Jean Leloup (L'étrange pays) et Fred Pellerin (Après).D’autres artistes québécois se sont distingués, soit
(Album adulte alternatif de l’année pour A Blemish in the Great Light), Alexandra Stréliski (Album instrumental de l’année pour Inscape) et Dominique Fils-Aimé (Album jazz vocal de l’année pour Stay Tuned!)Ce gala annuel devait à l’origine être animé par Alessia Cara qui était d’ailleurs la favorite cette année avec pas moins de 6 nominations.
