Alberta is adding 400 ICU beds to hospitals throughout the province as COVID infections keep surging. There are 71 patients in intensive care now, crossing the 70 mark of beds previously designated. We crossed a super sad threshold yesterday: 500 people have now died from the virus in our province, 100 in the last 10 days.
Calgary is now under a local state of emergency as we’ve hit 5000 active cases in the city. Mayor Nenshi warns Calgarians that they must obey the new restrictions put in place by the province and will not hesitate to enforce the law. Up until now, they’ve taken an education approach, but Neshi says the time for that is over and fines will now be handed out, up to $1000.

It’s American Thanksgiving, so a good excuse for Canadians to enjoy some football during that day on a Thursday…even if it means that football gets in the way of your stories like Grey’s Anatomy, which will return NEXT week.
Okay but who else is on the beach?!? Watch #GreysAnatomy Thursday, Dec 3 at 9|8c to find out. pic.twitter.com/xgnmb2Nyg7

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade is still a go, but will be kind of different- it’ll still feature big floats and performances from people like Jimmy Fallon, Dolly Parton and Bebe Rexa, but instead of walking through the streets of Manhattan, it’ll be restricted to one block…so not exactly a marching parade, but a stand still one?! Organizers say the event is a long standing tradition that boosts positivity and we could all use that right now.
We're packing up & getting ready for #MacysParade morning! Here's a sneak peek at some of the new floats from @OlaySkin, @TomAndJerry, @Jennieo, and @lifetimetv... https://t.co/vy7FoHFx9G pic.twitter.com/L3ep03pCMb

The Ship and Anchor Pub is back with their homemade Ship Nog and this just might be the thing to get the Christmas Spirit going. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also going to be helping some amazing causes, with $10.00 from every bottle going to charity, including the Calgary Drop In Centre!

Country Music Star Morgan Wallen has been given a second change by SNL. He was booted from the show last month after he was seen out partying in a crowded bar, kissing women and just not practicing good pandemic behaviour. He’s been announced as the musical guest for December 5th, when Jason Bateman will host. Don’t mess it up again this time, bud.
