Mystery woman with amazing voice singing in an L.A. subway station
This is Emily Zamourka. She moved to the U.S. from Russia 24 years ago and is a classically trained musician. She ended up on the streets after her violin was stolen 3 years. She suffered some serious health issues and was unable to pay her medical bills and then her rent as the violin was her primary source of income.
By chance, a member of the LAPD filmed Emily singing a Puccini aria on the platform of a subway station and now she's gone viral.
Chances are good she might get a new violin now.
4 million people call LA home. 4 million stories. 4 million voices...sometimes you just have to stop and listen to one, to hear something beautiful. pic.twitter.com/VzlmA0c6jX— LAPD HQ (@LAPDHQ) September 27, 2019
