Billie Eilish Granted 3-Year Restraining Order Against Obsessed Fan
Billie Eilish has been granted a long term restraining order against a man who repeatedly showed up at her family’s Los Angeles home last month.
Prenell Rousseau, 24, is prohibited from trying to contact the singer and from coming within 91 metres of Eilish or her parents.
Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman extended the temporary retraining order Eilish obtained against Rousseau last month. The 18-year-old pop star listened to the court hearing via telephone but was not asked to speak.
The family said Rousseau showed up at their house on May 4 and asked if the singer lived there. He returned that night and exhibited “erratic behaviour,” according to legal documents.
“While we waited for security, Mr. Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book, while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue. My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused,” Eilish said in the filing.
Rousseau allegedly returned to the house several times. He was arrested twice but not held in custody due to COVID-19 guidelines about non-violent offenders.
