Canadian border agents seize 230 guns in eight months in Southern Ontario

CKTB - NEWS - Gun Seizures

Canadian Border Service Officers have stopped more than 230 guns from entering the country via our border bridges between January and August.

CBSA officials have released some highlights including finding 21 undeclared handguns in two American vehicles trying to cross the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie in April.

In May, a Canadian was busted trying to bring six handguns across the Rainbow Bridge.

And three more undeclared weapons were found on the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge in Niagara-On-The-Lake in July.

In many cases, prohibited magazines were also seized by border agents.
