Ontario MPP trying to bring twice yearly time switch to an end
Would you like to see an end to the switch from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time?
An Ottawa area MPP is hoping to make your wish come true.
Jeremey Roberts has introduced a private members bill, that has passed second reading, that would keep Ontario on Daylight Saving Time permanently.
But there is a caveat, Roberts' bill says we will make the switch if Quebec and New York State follow suit.
The reason for Quebec is the number of federal government workers who live in Gatineau and work in Ottawa.
For New York, it's to make sure our stock markets stay in sync.
