Remembrance Day in Hamilton will look different this year

A reminder from the City of Hamilton that this year's Remembrance Day services will be held virtually.

Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions and in accordance with direction from our Emergency Operations Centre, there will be no public services conducted for Remembrance day in order to protect our most vulnerable members of the military communities.

Time: 10:30 to 11:15 am
The public is encouraged to watch the virtual service online at Cable 14 or the City’s YouTube channel www.youtube/insidecityofhamilton

There will be no military parades or large public gatherings permitted at any City cenotaphs.

The Lancaster will conduct a flyover of Hamilton cenotaphs in acknowledgement of the day.
 

Wreath laying

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will not be any public wreath laying at the City of Hamilton Remembrance Day services.

Any members of the public who wish to have a wreath placed on their behalf can drop their wreaths off at the Hamilton Military Museum in Dundurn Park from November 1 to 10, 2020 between 12 noon to 4 pm or contact the museum to arrange outside of their operating hours.
