UPDATE | Police believe there was 'some element of pre-planning' in Hamilton teen's stabbing death

Flowers are being left outside the home of Devan Selvay, a 14 year old boy who died after a stabbing outside a Hamilton high school.

An 18 year old man and a 14 year old boy appeared in court yesterday, each facing a charge of first degree murder.

Another boy and a girl, both sixteen, were also arrested by Hamilton Police yesterday morning and now face the same charge.

Detective Sergeant Steve Berziuk says they have recovered a knife allegedly used in the attack outside Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School Monday afternoon.

"We do believe that there is some element of pre-planning and pre-meditation to this homicide."

As of this morning, a GoFundMe campaign describing Devan as a 'shy, quiet kid' has raised over $31,000 to help with the funeral arrangements.

Friends and family say he was the target of relentless bullying.

Police are asking anyone with further evidence, particularly video evidence, to contact Detective Mike McNaughton at 905-546-4123 or leave a tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
