19 people displaced from rooming house during police investigation in Edmundston

The Canadian Red Cross says 19 people were temporarily displaced from a rooming house in Edmundston, New Brunswick during a police investigation.

It quotes city police as saying they were looking for a possible clandestine drug lab inside the premises.

A police news release says an investigation is ongoing and charges may be filed against some individuals, although the building's owner is not a suspect.

Most tenants are expected to be allowed to return home later today.
