"Pumpkin Pitstops" in Edmundston on Halloween

(Submitted/City of Edmundston)

The City of Edmundston is setting up "Pumpkin Pitstops" at four locations to ensure public health guidelines are respected on Halloween this year.

A release states the stops will be setup in the parking lots of Saint-Basile Arena, the Sports Pavilion, City Hall and the Saint-Jacques Palladium.

The City says parents/gaurdians can drive their children to each parking lot where they can make a stop at the "Pumpkin Pitstop", scare the volunteers on-hand and receive their share of treats.

Marc Michaud, Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Edmundston says door-to-door trick-or-treating will be permitted unless otherwise indicated by the province.

The "Pumpkin Pitstops" will be open rain or shine on Halloween, October 31, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., or until all treats have been handed out.
