2019 Operation Red Nose campaign kicks off in Chaleur Region
The Chaleur Region's Operation Red Nose road safety campaign launched in Bathurst on Thursday.
This year, a Red Nose mobile application will allow users to find information more rapidly, with more information available regarding local hours of operation.
Development Coordinator Gaetan Germain says 227 volunteers provided 338 safe rides home in the Chaleur Region alone.
That's a total distance of 8,043km with $5,033 raised for local organizations.
Nationally, Operation Red Nose ensured that over 70,000 Canadians made it home safe last year, while turning over more than $1.9 million to local youth and amateur sports organizations.
The campaigne runs November 29th to December 31st.
