The federal government has announced $14 million for New Brunswick's childcare sector.

The money will be used to help childcare centers recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officials say the funding will also help the centres adapt to new public health guidelines and to offer longer operating hours.

The cash is a part of a six-hundred-and-twenty-five-million dollar federal plan to invest in childcare services across Canada.
