City Hall

The Downtown Bathurst Revitalization Corporation presented its proposed budget for 2021 to city council on Monday.

DBRC's Chris Daigle says the $84,254 budget includes a little over $40,000 in salaries and benefits, along with $3,000 for the a downtown mural initiative and $3,500 for facade improvement.

Daigle says the new facade improvement program is expected to provide $500 to merchants who make improvements their business' facade.

The budget will be paid for by downtown merchants via a special improvement levy.

Last year's DBRC budget was $86,385.00.

The budget still requires council's approval.
