Acadie-Bathurst MP says Air Canada could have pursued other cost-saving measures
Acadie-Bathurst MP Serge Cormier is calling Air Canada's decision to suspend it's Bathurst to Montreal flights indefinitely 'irresponsible and ill-considered'.
Cormier says the move will have a significant economic impact on the region noting residents use the airport to travel for business as well as medical treatments and procedures.
He says Air Canada could have pursued other cost-saving measures like reducing the number of flights rather than cutting them altogether.
Cormier says he'll work with regional stakeholders to pressure the airline to reverse its decision.
