Airport in Moncton evacuated following threat
A fake bomb threat resulted in the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport being evacuated over the weekend.
RCMP Cpl. Luc Basque says somebody phoned in the threat to the airport on Sunday.
Airport staff alerted police who were unable to find any bomb or suspicious package.
Police traced the call and determined the threat was fake.
At least two flights were redirected to other airports.
Operations returned to normal Sunday night.
