Campbellton receives anonymous $80K donation for curbside recycling program

The City of Campbellton has received an anonymous $80,000 donation towards its curbside recycling program.

Mayor Stephanie Anglehart-Paulin says the money comes from an organization that's sensitive to the issue of climate change.

She says the group noticed Campbellton was having a tough time allocating funds for the program and feared some citizens wouldn't participate.

The municipality has decided to match the amount and will be purchasing nearly 2,000 blue bins for single-family homes.

The mayor expects Campbellton's curbside recycling program to get underway by the New Year.
