Canadian Red Cross aiding tenants in Woodstock after fire Friday night

(Submitted/Dale Paterson, Red Cross Volunteer)

Four tenants of a two-story house divided into three apartments in Woodstock have been displaced by a fire.

The Canadian Red Cross says the fire was reported around 10:00 p.m. and was contained mostly to the middle apartment, but the entire structure sustained smoke and water damage.

All four tenants have found temporary places to stay with relatives or friends and Red Cross volunteers have helped with emergency purchases of food, clothing and other essentials.

There were no injuries reported.
