Organizers of the 25th edition of the Edmundston Jazz and Blues Festival have announced some major changes to the event.

In a press release earlier this week, it was announced the dates and duration of the festival will change this year, as well as the location.

This year's event will run earlier in June so it no longer clashes with the graduation weekend and will run for three days.

Further, organizers say that as a celebration of the quarter-century mark of the festival, access to the Jazz and Blues site will be free and the site will be moved to City Hall Square.

The location change is to accommodate the addition of a RIbfest, with four ribbers kiosks presenting a variety of ribs, chicken and pulled-pork recipes for festival goers.
