Distillerie Fils du Roy wins national tourism award
A Paquetville distillery is the recipient of a national tourism award.
The Tourism Industry Association of Canada recognized Distillerie Fils du Roy with its 'Community Outreach Award' last Wednesday in Gatineau, Quebec.
The company was chosen over two well known hotels: Fairmont Banff Springs in Alberta and the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto.
Co-owner Sebastien Roy says the award proves that even a small company in a rural area can achieve big things.
The annual awards seek to recognize people, places, organizations and events that have gone above and beyond to offer a superior tourism experience to travellers in Canada.
