ESN students calling for traffic to slow down in Saint Anne Street school zone
Students at ESN are trying to find ways to get speeding drivers to slow down in front of their school.
Student council president Edouard Wilson told Bathurst council earlier this week students would like to see a pair of radar warning signs installed in the school zone on Saint Anne Street.
The signs would indicate a driver's speed and would cost an estimated $7,000.
Wilson says the student council is even willing to chip in $1,000 for the project, noting safety is everyone's responsibility.
There have been several collisions on that stretch of road over the past few years.
Councillors are expected to decide on the matter in the coming weeks.
