Municipal byelections are Monday December 10

Elections in 17 municipalities will vote on Monday December 10 to fill vacancies on their local councils.

The province says polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Elections New Brunswick says voters should have received a voter information card in the mail that shows the location of their ordinary poll

The agency says those who did not get a card can check the location of their polling station on the Elections New Brunswick website or by calling their local returning office.

The following vacancies are being contested on Monday:
- One councilor in Alma
- One councilor in Aroostok
- One councilor in Bathurst
- One councilor (Ward 3) in Beaubassin
- One councilor in Dalhousie
- Mayor of Doaktown
- Mayor of Hanwell
- One councilor in Hartland
- One councilor in Memramcook
- One councilor (Ward 3) in Moncton
- One councilor in Nackawic
- One councilor in Sackville
- One councilor in Shediac
- One councilor in St. George
- One councilor in Saint Andrews
- One councilor in Sussex Corner
- Three councilors in Tracadie (one councilor, Ward 1; two councilors, Ward 7)
