NB Liquor requiring masks as of Thursday

NB Liquor says masks will be mandatory at all of its corporate locations beginning this week.

As colder weather approaches, NB Liquor says it's updating its safety procedures so customers don't have to wait outside.

In a statement on its website the Crown corporation says the move will increase capacity inside its stores and help to pervent lineups.

Customers advised by a medical profession not to wear a mask are exempt from the rule as well as babies or toddlers under the age of two.

Those who are hearing impaired, and who rely on facial and mouth movements to communicate are also exempt from the rule.

NB Liquor says it has also launched a curbside pickup program for those still not comfortable with entering stores.

The mask policy goes into effect on Thursday.
