Sentier NB Trails to cease operations
An organization aimed at promoting the development of walking and cycling trails in the province will soon cease operations.
The Acadie-Nouvelle reports that Sentier NB Trails' board of directors recently made the decision after the provincial government refused to find a long-term funding arrangement.
At its peak, the twenty-five-year-old organization managed nearly 1,200 kilometres of trails but that's down to about 300 kilometres in recent years.
Steps are now underway to dissolve the organization that will legally cease to exist in 2020.
