T.I.A.N.B. launches 'Clean It Right' certification
The Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) is launching the Clean It Right certification.
A release states the Clean It Right Training Program is an online, self-study training program to increase the safety of guests, visitors and workforce in the tourism, hospitality and retail industry.
TIANB says the purpose of Clean It Right is to enhance business' cleaning standards of practice.
The goals of the program are to:
- help people who work in the industry understand the significance of following the cleaning and disinfection procedures by adjusting current practices;
- help re-gain consumer confidence in the industry by making the commitment to provide a clean and safe environment for customers and employees;
The association says a 100% pass rate is required to receive industry certification.
Businesses that train all of their cleaning staff, or contracted cleaners will receive a window decal to display in their business to show they are committed to providing a clean and safe environment.
Clean It Right training is supported and endorsed by provincial and national bodies including Tourism HR Canada and the Retail Council of Canada.
