Trial date set for man charged in fatal crash on Route 11
An Eel River Bar First nation man charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal collision in August of 2018 will face trial in the spring.
30-year-old Kirk Labillois has pleaded not guilty earlier this week to leaving the scene of an accident involving bodily harm and leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
The charges stem a head-on crash on on Route 11 between Eel River Dundee and Charlo.
A 37-year-old man died at the scene while an 18-year-old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Labillois' trial is slated for May 11th.
