Liberals lose 40% of their seats in N.B., Fredericton goes Green
The Liberals lost 4 seats in New Brunswick in the 2019 Federal Election.
Incumbents Kelsey MacDonald in Tobique-Mactaquac and Matt DeCourcey in Fredericton were unseated, MacDonald by Conservative Richard Bragdon and DeCourcey by Jenica Atwin of the Green Party.
Locally, Madawaska-Restigouche and Acadie-Bathurst stayed red, with René Arseneault and Serge Cormier hanging onto their seats.
The Liberals retained Beausejour, Miramichi-Grand Lake, Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe and Saint John-Rothesay.
The Conservatives picked up 2 other seats, taking victory in Fundy Royal and New Brunswick Southwest.
