Vitalite Health Network tightens service delivery for patients from outside Atlantic Bubble
The Vitalite Health Network is tightening service delivery at its facilities for patients from outside the Atlantic Bubble following an uptick in COVID-19 cases in Quebec.
Until further notice all non-urgent surgeries and non-urgent appointments at ambulatory care clinics have been postponed.
In addition, visits are prohibited, except for patients at end-of-life.
With COVID-19 cases surging in Quebec, network CEO Gilles Lanteigne says all measures need to be taken to prevent it from crossing the boarder and hitting New Brunswick hard.
The temporary measures do not apply to residents of the Listiguj First Nation and Pointe-a-la-Croix.
The health authority says the measures are subject to change in response to directives from the province's department of health.
