Jun 1 - FHS Music Dept. Spring Gala Concert
The Fredericton High School Music Department will hold its Spring Gala Concert on Thursday, June 1 at 7PM in the Tom Morrison Theatre. The show will feature the String Ensemble (under the direction of Alison Milne), the Glee Choir (conducted by Illyana Vermeersch), the Jazz Ensemble (directed by Craig Woodcock) and the Concert Band (conducted by Greg Webber). Admission is by donation, and refreshments will be served after the show. Join us in wrapping up a successful year in one final, terrific show by these amazing student performers! -
Fredericton SPCA - Auction for Paws
The Fredericton SPCA Auction For Paws is an online auction with Jardine Auctioneers that starts Friday, June 2 and goes until June 9th at 1pm. There are many great donations from local businesses from gift cards to hockey camps, UNB Season tickets and even a signed stick from Jake Allen! -

June 3 - Miramichi Salmon Association Annual General Meeting

June 3 - Miramichi Salmon Association 26th Annual IceBreaker Dinner & Auction
The Miramichi Salmon Association is holding their 26th Annual IceBreaker Dinner & Auction on Saturday, June 3 at the Woodmen's Museum in Boiestown. Hike For Hospice
Hike for Hospice is a Canada-wide event that brings together community members to show support, spread awareness, and raise funds for hospice palliative care services. From now until June 4th, get outside and get active in support of Hospice Fredericton! Whether participating on your own or with a team, Hike for Hospice is a wonderful way to honour loved ones, show support, and raise funds for the programs and services Hospice Fredericton has to offer. Engage in whatever physical activity you want. Hike, walk, run, swim, bike wherever and whenever you’d like! After years of holding Hike for Hospice Fredericton as a virtual event, we can’t wait to be able to hike together again this June, though you can still do it virtually if preferred! -

Summerfest Has Talent
The main show is on Thursday, June 8 at the Lions Club in Burtts Corner. They will be holding auditions on Thursday, May the 25 at 7PM at the Lions Club in Burtts Corner for a chance to do the live show is on Thursday, June 8, there's cash prizes for first and second place. The main event is a free by donation show. All are welcome to come and audition. -
Provincial Pickleball Championship
On June 9, 10 and 11 the Fredericton Pickleball Club will be hosting the 2023 Provincial Championship. The tournament is taking place at the Grant-Harvey Centre for its entirety and Willie O'Ree Place on June 10 only. 276 players from across the Province will gather and compete in singles, doubles (men & women) and mixed doubles. 15th Annual Cultural Expressions Festival
15th annual Cultural Expressions Festival (CEF) held on June 24 from 11AM-7PM at the Capital Exhibit Centre. CEF 2023 will present an exciting day of entertainment from around the world, featuring multicultural dance and music performances, displays, food for purchase and family activities, coordinated by the Multicultural Association of Fredericton Inc & Fredericton’s ethno-cultural associations. In addition to the June 24th CEF activities, throughout the month of June, CEF will feature a series of multicultural activities, including a Living Library, an Anti-racism Panel Discussion Panel, a Drumming Circle, Art workshops and more will be organized in-person and online. CEF 2023 will offer culturally enriching experiences for residents and tourists of all ages in the greater Fredericton area and beyond. All CEF activities will be free of charge. -

The second annual Jump Into June Vendor Craft Show is taking place Saturday, June 17 from 9AM-2PM at the New Maryland Centre, 754 New Maryland Highway, New Maryland. There will be a variety of crafters/bakers/artists. -
June 17 - YFC AutoFest
The YFC AutoFest is Fredericton's premier car show taking place on Saturday, June 17 from 10AM-6PM at the Fredericton Capital Exhibit Centre. There will be more than 120 cars on display from classic cars and trucks, to imported and modified vehicles, to domestic vehicles and exotic supercars. Not only will there be cars but will also host a variety of car vendors and food trucks for all attendees to enjoy. There will be discounted admission rates for students and seniors, as well as families. Children 10 and under are FREE! This is the place to be that weekend. -
100 Women Who Care Fredericton
100 Women Who Care brings together local women to make a large impact within their community. We meet four times per year and bring $100 to be donated to one of the three charities presenting that night. Therefore, 100 women x $100 = $10,000. But it doesn’t stop there! We don’t stop at 100 women; in fact, the more the merrier! We are looking to make the biggest local and immediate charitable impact we can. 100% of the proceeds go towards the winning charity that night. The next event will be taking place on Tuesday, July 11 (Deadline to register for our July meeting is Saturday, July 8). -
40th Annual NB Highland Games 2023 - July 28th-30th
To kickoff the Friday night, musical performances will feature Natalie McMaster & Donnell Leahy; Canadas reigning couple of Celtic music. The Friday Night Ceilidh will be FREE and open to guests of all ages. In addition to the Friday Night entertainment, festival-goers can expect an amazing array of Scottish athletics, highland dancing, bagpipes & drums (including the Massed Bands), cultural workshops, mini golf, face painting, food trucks & craft vendors, and so much more throughout the weekend. Passes for the rest of the Festival, which takes place on the grounds of beautiful Government House in Fredericton on July 29th & 30th, can be purchased online at highlandgames.ca starting on Monday, May 1 at 12PM. -

Empowerment Gala and Mental Health Award Nominations
The Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick in Fredericton has put out a call for two Champion of Mental Health Awards nominations. One for an organization/business, and one for an individual, that will be presented at their Empowerment Gala on Friday, September 29 at the Delta Fredericton (6PM reception, Gala 7PM). Do you know someone who has been a supporter of mental health? Someone that perhaps has helped you through a mental health condition. Or someone that has done fundraising events for mental health. Or an organization/business that has gone above and beyond to help and understand when employees are having a difficult time with their mental health? The Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick in Fredericton wants you to nominate them!
