    Hike Nova Scotia invites new and experienced hikers to try earning its new Cape Chignecto and Annapolis County badges. The Hiker Challenge is about inspiring, motivating and rewarding trail users - especially new and novice hikers - to get out on Nova Scotia’s beautiful trails and start hiking or to hike more. Your reward for completing each challenge is a badge to show off on clothing or backpacks, as well as being listed on the Honour Roll. Prizes for qualifying hikers are gift cards generously provided by The Trail Shop.   • Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF

    The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF is the largest fundraising event in Canada to support type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. While we may not be together in person this year, we will still come together to walk the distance for the 300,000 Canadians living with T1D on June 13th, 2021. Join walkers in a brand new immersive and interactive experience filled with activities, entertainment and the celebration of uniting virtually to change the future of T1D.
  • DGHF Lobster Dinner & Auction

    The Annual Lobster Dinner & Auction, presented by Conrad Bros., is the Foundation’s signature fundraising event. Over the past 35 years, the community has come together to raise more than $1.5 million in support of the Dartmouth General. This year, we are excited to be offering our lobster take-out style coupled with a chance to win big at our online auction and 50/50 raffle draw. Grab your meal drive-thru style and enjoy from the comfort of your own home. Fundraising efforts help support priority hospital needs and equipment such as a new ultrasound for both men’s and women’s health.
  • National Diabetes Trust - Drive Through Donation Event

    For over 30 years, Diabetes Canada has been collecting clothing and small household donations to fund important research in the fight to end diabetes and send kids to D-Camp. $5,000,000 invested annually in diabetes research. 100 million pounds of donated items are collected, diverted from landfill and used to help fund research each year. Every time you donate your small household items and gently used clothing to Diabetes Canada, you help 11 million Canadians with diabetes or prediabetes, and the environment by diverting from landfill.
  • The Canadian Progress Club Annual Charity Golf Classic

    Please join The Canadian Progress Club Halifax Citadel Charitable Foundation at the First Annual Charity Golf Classic in support of Adsum House, Chisholm Services for Children and the Lake Echo Community Food Bank. The fun begins at 1 pm. Many of the holes will be hosted by a Sponsor providing you with some swag, treats or an activity to enjoy. There will be a Hole in one Sponsor. A putting contest will also be available to challenge you along the way. Following your fun filled day of golf, there will be a delicious meal included with your registration and an opportunity to hear from our chosen charities.
