  • lntervener position - Maison de Passage House

    The Maison Passage House is looking to fill a Full-time and Part-time Intervener position with the possibility of 12-36 hours per week, the person must be bilingual, able to work days, nights and weekends. We are also looking to fill a Full-time Women and Children Intervener internal/external position with 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, day shifts. Health and life insurance available. As an lntervener for Women and Children you will work with victims of intimate partner violence in all its forms, the ideal candidate must have good listening skills and intervention skills, good knowledge of various intervention tools (Danger assessment, emergency plan, EIO, etc.). Able to work in crisis intervention situations such as answering emergency calls of clients in abusive situations, accompany the woman with their action and security plans either on the phone or once admitted to the Maison de Passage House. Guide them to the proper community partners available to them. Training sessions available regularly for our staff on subjects in regards to all types of family violence. Key Requirements: Bilingualism (French and English), If selected to move forward, completed criminal record and social development record check prior to start date, CPR and first aid course (Within the first days of employment or before), Intervener course or similar training/experience would be considered an asset. Woman and Children Intervener must have Intervener certification or equivalence and experience.   • Junior Building Inspector/ Development Officer - Town of Grand Falls

    Grand Falls Regional Municipality, Full time, permanent (37.5h/week). Reporting to the Coordinator of Land Use Planning Services, the incumbent mainly performs various tasks of a complex nature related to land use planning, the issuance of development permits / inspection of buildings, the application of various orders, the preparation and presentation of exemptions. Attends various public meetings of planning advisory committees. He or she carries out controlled visits to the sites, solves various problems and ensures the compliance of the projects. In addition, he or she implements and updates infrastructure data in the municipality's geographic information system. Qualifications and Training: College diploma in civil engineering technology or a related discipline and/ or: Read Seal Certified Carpenter, Level I Certification from the NB Building Officials Association (NBBOA) will be considered an asset, Holder of a valid Class 5 driver's license, Be bilingual (French and English).
