Construction continues on Pembroke St. West, completion date weather-dependent

Drivers in Pembroke are being informed by the City of construction on Pembroke Street West that will continue into November. The City says this will be in effect between Forced Road and Christie Street for several weeks.
The date of completion is not known at the moment. The City explains that scheduling delays have extended the project timeline. They add that much of the construction depends on weather conditions.
Concrete works are expected to start the week of November 5th - 11th. The City says once that is complete, that will be followed by two lifts of asphalt and line painting. Work is expected to be completed by the Santa Claus Parade of Lights on November 25th, however, the city reiterates that this is highly weather dependent.
The City adds that ongoing work on Algonquin Trail has not contributed to the delays on the Pembroke Street West project.
