Criminal charges laid as OPP respond to 911 call in South Algonquin Twp.

Ontario Provincial Police have released information on a 911 call that resulted in one person being arrested, now facing multiple criminal charges.

Police explain that on October 16th, 2023 just after midnight, Killaloe OPP officers responded to the 911 call at a residence on Algonquin Street in the Township of South Algonquin.

After arriving at the scene and conducting an investigation, a 29-year-old from Welland, Ontario was arrested. They now face the following criminal charges:

- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Breach of Probation
- Failure to Comply with a release Order

OPP says the accused person was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
