Missing 84-year-old hunter located by OPP helicopter in Kaladar, Ont.

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they have located a missing eighty-four-year-old male from Kaladar after an extensive search in and around the local community.

Police say that this occurred on November 7th, 2023. OPP responded to a report of a missing person in Kaladar around 7:30 p.m. The report explained that the man had gone hunting at 10:00 a.m. by himself and did not return home. 

The male was reported missing by his son. The local fire chief then located the missing hunter's vehicle on Highway 7 along the side of the road. A search was commenced by members of the L&A County OPP, the OPP ERT team, and the OPP Aviation Services: Helicopter Section.

The OPP helicopter was dispatched and was able to locate the missing man around 11:00 p.m. Once in the area, the man was taken by EMS, who were nearby. OPP says the man was uninjured and was returned home safely to his family.
