Pembroke residents encouraged to fill out Parks and Rec survey for long-term "Master Plan"

The City of Pembroke says there is still time for residents to have their say, as the City's Parks and Recreation conduct a community-wide survey for their long-term Master Plan.
The City explains that on September 25th, they launched the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Community Survey as a tool to support the development of the plan that will guide the Parks and Recreation Department for a span of 10 years. Officials say so far, more than 550 people from Pembroke and across the region have responded to the online survey. All residents are encouraged to engage in the discussion to ensure the plan will truly reflect the needs, interests, and priorities of those who access parks and recreation services.
"The opportunity to voice your thoughts and concerns is very timely," says Mayor Ron Gervais. "It is very important that you provide your input as part of the planning process, including the topic of community recreational facilities."
The Parks and Recreation Community Survey is available on the City's website and will remain open until Friday, November 17th. Paper copies of the survey are also available at the library and Active 50+ Centre. Additionally, survey participants will be entered to win one of three $25 gift certificates to Ullrich's, Pure Canadian Candle Co., or 7th Heaven Sweets. Findings from the survey will be presented to the Council in the winter.
