Renfrew OPP stop two local motorists, driving with alcohol in their system

Ontario Provincial Police in Renfrew County have released information on two impaired drivers who were recently arrested and charged in the community. Police say both drivers were stopped on local roadways and both were charged due to alcohol in their blood.

Police say this first incident happened on November 22nd, 2023 at approximately 10:00 p.m., a Renfrew OPP officer was on patrol on Madawaska Street in the Town of Arnprior. A traffic stop was initiated by the officers. After a quick investigation, the person behind the wheel, Bradley Carron, a 43-year-old from Arnprior, was charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
 
OPP says the accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 3rd, 2024.

Then, a couple of days later, on November 26th, 2023 around 4:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP says they received a report of a possibly impaired driver on Matawatchan Road in Greater Madawaska Township. 
Officers attended the area and located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. As a result the driver, a 35-year-old from Greater Madawaska Township, Benjamin Mayo, was charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. 

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 10th, 2023.
