Three assault charges laid following domestic dispute in Brockville, Ont.

Brockville Police Services have arrested a local man after responding to a report of a domestic disturbance in the city. Police explained that they received the 911 call around 4:30 p.m. on October 31st, 2023 regarding an ongoing dispute in the area of Bramshot Avenue.

Officers attended the scene and spoke with the couple involved. Police say that the following investigation it was revealed that the two engaged in an argument which escalated to the point that a 56-year-old man had struck his girlfriend and threw items at her.

Police say the male was placed under arrest and the investigation continued. Further evidence was then discovered by police, of previous assaults that had taken place.

Police add that any injuries that were sustained were considered non-life-threatening. The man was charged with three counts of assault and released with conditions and a future court date.
