Beyoncé was among the early winners at Sunday’s 65th Grammy Awards and Canadians Drake and Michael Bublé each won their fifth Grammys.

Two tracks from Beyoncé’s album Renaissance were honoured during the premiere ceremony. “Break My Soul” was named Best Dance/Electronic Recording and “Plastic Off The Sofa” won Best Traditional R&B Performance.

With these two wins, Beyoncé is one win away from being tied with the late conductor Georg Solti for the most Grammy wins – a record she could break during the prime time broadcast.

Drake, who did not submit his own work for consideration, earned a Grammy for being featured with Tems on Future’s “Wait For U,” which was named Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Bublé’s 11th studio album Higher won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. It is the first Grammy for the B.C. native since 2014.

Vancouver native Tobias Jesso Jr. won the first ever Grammy for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical. "Thank you all, this is amazing," he said.

The 37-year-old, who has helped pen tracks artists like Diplo (“Let You Go”), Omar Apollo (“No Good Reason”) and fellow Canadian Orville Peck (“The Curse of the Blackened Eye”), is also up for Album of the Year thanks to his role as co-writer and pianist on “To Be Loved” from Adele’s 30 and  co-writer of “Boyfriends” on Harry Styles’ album Harry’s House.

Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” was named Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. Taylor Swift won the Grammy for Best Music Video for "All Too Well: The Short Film."

Brandi Carlile, Ozzy Osbourne and newcomers Wet Leg dominated the Rock categories. Carlile’s “Broken Horses” was named Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song; Osbourne won Best Rock Album for Patient Number 9 and Best Metal Performance for “Degradation Rules” ft.
