Bvlly and Why-S, two rising rappers from the Toronto area, were killed only hours apart this Christmas.

Bvlly, whose real name is Jahquar Stewart, was shot multiple times outside a townhouse in Oshawa early Tuesday morning. He was 24.

The Durham Regional Police Service said Stewart pronounced dead at the scene.

Several people in the neighbourhood told local media they heard at least 10 gunshots and saw a white vehicle with tinted windows speed away.

Bvlly’s first single “No Light Bag” was released in 2018 and he recently premiered a video for “Jungle,” a track off his debut album Made in Austria, which dropped in September.

On Monday night, Why-S died in a shooting in South Surrey, B.C., according to reports. Surrey RCMP said he was found dead inside a home.

Why-S released the singles “John Wick” and “Swag Mine” earlier this year.
