Ariana Grande admitted Tuesday night she was left “shaking and crying” after performing on stage with her idol Barbra Streisand.
The 26-year-old pop star joined the 77-year-old icon at the United Center in Chicago to sing “No More Tear (Enough is Enough),” the 1979 disco hit Streisand recorded with Donna Summer.
After the appearance, Grande tweeted: “hello shaking and crying. thank u @BarbraStreisand. don’t have words yet goodbye.”
She also shared a photo of her and Streisand that she captioned: “cherishing this moment forever.”
The duet wasn’t a complete surprise given that Streisand tweeted a photo Monday that showed the two artists’ manicured hands. She captioned it: “Made a new friend…”
The duet was a full-circle moment for Grande, who last year shared a throwback video clip in which she and her mother Joan are singing “Tell Him,” the duet by Streisand and Céline Dion. She captioned it: “We still sing this. She’s still barbara [sic] and still this stunning and cute if not more so."
